With the Ibiza season now in full swing, Renaissance return with Vol. 3 of "Ibiza The SOund Of Renaissance", an inspired two-disc collection that will be remenbered long after the sun has finally set.
Following on from the last two volumes in the series, Renaissance have once again, assembled an eclectic package for all tastes. Disc 1, titled "Beach" is mixed by Pete Gooding (ex Café Mambo) and perfectly captures the chilled out Balearic vibes that sweep across the island the morning after the night before. With key tracks by the likes of Coldcut, Blaze and 4Hero, the CD blends a concoction of soothing beats for aching heads recovering in the sun.
Disc 2, titled "Club" (mixed by Renaissance’s Marcus James), heads straight for the dance floor with the latest crop of tracks set to create major buzz around the island and, in particular, at Renaissance’s summer residency at Pacha. From th stomping bassline of James Zabielas’ "Weird Science", to the seductive vocals of Tracy Thorn over the twitchy beats of Tiefschwarz’s "Damage" (Buick Project Deep Mix), Renaissance prove they have mastered the art of keeping the crowd in the palm of their hands.
Unlike th garish packaging of the many "cash in" Ibiza compilations, Renaissance have pulled out all the stops to give listeners a visual as well as aural treat. The compilation’s luxury packaging and artwork mirrors the decadent imagery that can be expected at Renaissance @ Pacha and uses a Masters Series. This further marks out Renaissance as the connoisseurs of dance music.
So whether you’re going to Ibiza this year, or just yearning for an escape through headphone, "Ibiza The SOund of Renaissance vol.3" should be your essential summer purchase...
