:: Nudisco [hamburg] - The new princes of the Remixer

DJ Willi aka Willi Daubner who is working for more than ten years in a recordstore called “rocco” and playing gigs in and around Hamburg on weekends, got together with his long-time friend and resident in the legendary Front Club “DJ Dew” aka Dirk Ewert and together they challenged a 3 year old -internet “Cyper” broadcast with the title “New Days Of Disco”. As the broadcast was broken up the decition was made to concentrate on new projects. In the year 2000 the nudisco project was established

The first remixes [see discography] followed very fast and they got an offer to publish the first-own label in the year 2002 by the Label STYLES KICKIN. After that further remixes followed. In the summer 2003, DJ Lioél aka Frederic Berger joined the nudisco team.

In the year 2003 nudisco got his first big attention as DJ Willi was working on a house edit from Lumidee’s “Never Leave you” for his own needs. This he pressed a couple of dj’s as Boris Dlugosch, Markus Gardeweg, Gordon from the Discoboys into the hand. This House Edit was so much hypeted that it made it’s way into the club charts.

About 6 months later our Edit from No Doubt’s - It’s my Life” was typed into the Top Ten of the Club and Dance Charts.

After that many broadcastes [for example MDR Sputnik, Sunshine Live etc.] even play our Edits today.

We did not remain unseen with our Edits, then through the support of DJs like Tonka, Timo Maas, Tom Neville, Tune Brothers, Mike Litt, Martin Eyerer, Tom Wax, Discoboys, Rainer Weichhold, Markus Gardeweg etc. A lot of our records remixes were sold almost 3000 times worldwide and were played on events like the Mayday, Time Warp, Turntabledays etc.

In the mean time some time has passed. About 15 nudisco House, Electroclash Edits arised [Phoenix, Stereo MC’s, Aretha Franklin, Fischerspooner, Wir sind Helden, Chemical Brothers, Gwen Stefanie, Black Eyed Peas etc.]

We have made a further remix from Lützenkirchen’s Daily Disco for Great Stuff Records.

In about five weeks we’ll be bringing out our 3rd official single with the title “DIE MUSIK” on Bikini Records.

The nudisco DJ - Team consigts of DJ Willi and Lionél. Both have many years of dj experience.
